NEWLY PROMOTED: Clinton Kennedy, Director of Engineering

nGROUP is pleased to announce yet another promotion for Clinton Kennedy! Clinton is now our Director of Engineering. 

With us since 2016, Clinton is a prime example of what’s possible for talented, dedicated professionals at nGROUP. He began his journey here as Continuous Improvement Manager. In less than 3 years in this role, Clinton found countless cost, efficiency and quality improvements for our clients, including a 35% scrap material cost reduction achieved over 18 months.

Unsurprisingly, Clinton quickly rose through our ranks to Regional Industrial Engineer and then Senior Industrial Engineer. In that time, he gained valuable experience in processes key to automotive assembly, reverse logistics, D2C/B2B distribution, micro fulfillment, and fresh food manufacturing.

In his new role as Director of Engineering, Clinton will oversee our Industrial Engineering team. It’s a big job, since he will be accountable for the objectives the team is expected to deliver. These include meeting clients’ engineering process specifications, quantifying labor costs, and producing ROI analysis on automation investments.

Specifically, Clinton will oversee our 3PL, Kitting, Value Added Services, Pick/Pack/Ship, BOPIS/Curbside delivery, and Returns processing.

“The most interesting part is that the Engineering team will offer its services to all nGROUP accounts,” Clinton said. “So we will be involved in all the verticals we operate in.”

Like our clients, the growth of our business has been both exciting and challenging. Expanding our Engineering team, for example, has required onboarding and training of new talent, and cross training our existing team members. Through it all, Clinton has proved to be an invaluable resource of expertise and execution.

“I am honored to lead our team of engineers and enable them to contribute at various stages of our business,” Clinton said. “And I am excited to go through this phase of expansion at nGROUP to create the flexibility needed to service our clients across various industry verticals.”
